'Huangdan', with its origins in Luoyan Meizhuang, Huqiu Town, Anxi County, Fujian Province, boasts a cultivation history of over a century. In 1985, it gained recognition as a national variety by the esteemed National Crop Variety Approval Committee, designated as GS13008-1985. The exceptional qualities of 'Huangdan' make it a highly sought-after tea variety. It exhibits strong fertility in both its buds and leaves, resulting in a robust crop. The germination of 'Huangdan' is dense, while its leaves display exceptional tenderness. This combination contributes to a high yield of tea leaves. Furthermore, 'Huangdan' showcases remarkable resistance to drought and cold conditions, ensuring its ability to thrive in challenging environments. The variety also excels in cutting propagation, displaying strong fecundity and a high survival rate. Chemical analysis reveals that the dry sample of 'Huangdan' spring tea, consisting of one bud and two leaves, contains approximately 4.6% amino acids, 14.7% tea polyphenols, 10.5% total catechins, and 3.3% caffeine.
